Vietnamese Bun Bo Hue



A Vietnamese dish with a delicious beef broth, vermicelli noodles, and super tender beef. 

Ingredients



Directions
  1. Cook your vermicelli noodles according to packaged instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a pot on low heat and add beef stock. Add sliced white onions, bun bo hue seasoning cubes, shrimp paste, fish sauce, sugar, red chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, lemongrass powder, and whole fresh lemongrass stalks. 
  3. Simmer for about 40 minutes occasionally stirring. Remove your lemon grass stalks and discard. 
  4. Place your noodles in a bowl, top with your thinly sliced beef, pour in some of your broth with your onions, submerge your beef in your broth, it's so thin it will cook to a med rare - medium temperature. Garnish with fresh cilantro, and enjoy!
