272. Japanese Goya Chanpuru!
A delicious okinawan style goya chanpuru stir fry with spam and bean sprouts in traditional Japanese flavors.
Ingredients
- Bitter Melon
- Diced Tofu
- Bean Sprouts
- Diced Spam
- Sliced Carrots
- Bonito Flakes
- Toasted Sesame Oil
- Kikkoman Japanese Soy Sauce
- Cooking Sake Seasoning
- Black Truffle Sea Salt
- Morton Iodized Table Salt
Directions
- Slice your bitter melon in half length wise and remove the insides, discard the insides. Completely cover your bitter melon with a thick coat of table salt, let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse well and pat dry. This process removes a lot of the bitterness from the melon.
- Thinly slice your melon into half moon pieces. Heat a pan on medium high heat and add some sesame oil. Saute your diced spam and sliced carrots for about 5 minutes occasionally turning.
- Add your diced tofu, bean sprouts, bonito flakes, and soy sauce. Season with cooking sake seasoning, and black truffle sea salt and cook for about 5 more minutes occasionally turning. Plate and enjoy! #recipesbyvance
