Moroccan Inspired Fried Chicken & Olives



Crispy fried buttermilk chicken with traditional Moroccan seasonings and sauted olives.

Ingredients





Directions
  1. Heat a pot on medium high heat and add lots of oil about 2 inches up the pot. Mix in a bowl, flour, cornmeal, baking powder, turmeric, coriander powder, paprika, cround cumin minced ginger, ground fennel, and ground cloves. Mix well.
  2. Pour some buttermilk in another bowl. Pat your chicken dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper, set aside for the salt and pepper to adhere to the chicken. 
  3. Dredge your chicken in your buttermilk, then coat in your flour mixture, the deep fry for about 6 minutes on both sides and completely cooked through. Take out and set aside on paper towels to soak up the excess oil.
  4. Heat a pan on medium high heat and add some oil and butter. Season your olives with salt and pepper and saute while stirring for about 5 minutes.
  5. Plate your chicken and olives, drizzle a little honey over your chicken, garnish with some fresh chopped parsley, and enjoy! #recipesbyvance
