Banana Bread Macadamia Nut French Toast

A super sweet brunch or desert. Macadamia nut french toast with sweet toasted bananas.

  • Banana Bread
  • Two Bananas
  • A Few Macadamia Nuts
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Four Eggs
  • Butter
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Nutmeg
  • Maple Syrup

  1. Slice your banana bread into thin slices. Crack your eggs and mix well in a bowl with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  2. Slice your bananas, put them in a bowl, season with brown sugar and cinnamon, mix well. Slice and dice your macadamia nuts.
  3. Heat a pan on medium high heat and add lots of butter. Dredge one slice of banana bread in your egg wash mixture.
  4. When your butter melts place your dredged banana slice in the pan, sear on both sides for about 5 minutes or until golden brown. Do the same for the rest of your slices of banana bread.
  5. While your banana bread is cooking heat another pan on medium high heat and add lots of butter. Saute your seasoned bananas and diced macadamia nuts for about 3 minutes flipping and stirring.
  6. Pour some maple syrup on a plate. Plate your banana bread french toast then top it off with your banana and macadamia nut mixture and some powdered sugar. Enjoy!
