201. Homemade Crispy French Fries!
Twice fried Idaho potato french fries perfectly seasoned, and with the right crunch.
Ingredients
- Idaho Potatoes
- Morton Iodized Table Salt
- McCormick Grounded Black Peppercorns
- Season All
- Vegetable Oil
Directions
- Slice your potatoes into french fries size. Heat a pot on medium high heat and add some oil up 3 inches in the pot. Thoroughly rinse your sliced potatoes and pat dry with paper towels. Season liberally with salt and pepper.
- When your oil gets hot drop your fries in and deep fry occasionally stirring for about 8 minutes. Take your fries out with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to soak up the excess grease. Let your fries rest for about 8 minutes. Turn the heat of your pan while you wait.
- Reheat your pan of oil with a medium high flame. Drop your fries in to deep fry for a second time for about 8 minutes or until light golden brown. Take your fries out with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to soak up the excess oil. Lightly season with some season all, serve with a side of ketchup and enjoy!
