Seasoned shrimp with buttery grits and in a delicious gravy.
Ingredients
- Peeled Shrimp
- Grits
- Morton Iodized Table Salt
- McCormick Ground Black Pepper
- Butter
- Gluten Free Flour
- Organic Chicken Stock
- Chopped Parsley
Directions
- Bring a pot of water to a boil, pour in some grits, stir in a good amount of butter, season with salt & pepper, and cook while stirring for about 3-5 minutes, or until grits are creamy.
- Heat a pan on medium high heat and add lots of butter. Season your shrimp with salt and pepper and sear on both sides for about 5 minutes.
- Heat another pan on medium high heat and add lots of butter anf flour, mix well to make a roux. Pour in a little chicken stock at a time and whisk well pouring in more stock if needed. Continue to whisk well until your gravy reaches a nice consistency.
- Put your grits into a bowl, pour your gravy around outer circle, Place your shrimp on top, garnish with some fresh chopped parsley, enjoy!
