A delicious butterflied sirloin with Mediterranean seasoning and pickled red onion.
Ingredients
- Sirloin Steak
- Red Onion
- Marshalls Creek Mediterranean Spice Mix
- Aged White Wine Vinegar
- Domino Granulated Sugar
- Morton Iodized Table Salt
- Pompeian Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Directions
- Add vinegar, sugar, salt and a little water in a small container or mason jar. Mix until salt and sugar dissolves.
- Slice your red onion and put the slices in your pickling mixture, marinate in room temperature for about 2 hours, up to a day in the fridge.
- Butterfly your steak lengthwise like a hot dog bun. Heat a pan on medium high heat and add some oil. Season your Steak on both sides with your mediterranean spice mix.
- Sear your steak on both sides for about 6 minutes for a nice medium. Plate your steak, top it off with your pickled onions, serve with your choice of a side, enjoy!
