Homemade Crispy French Fries

Twice fried Idaho potato french fries perfectly seasoned, and with the right crunch.


  1. Slice your potatoes into french fries size. Heat a pot on medium high heat and add some oil up 3 inches in the pot. Thoroughly rinse your sliced potatoes and pat dry with paper towels. Season liberally with salt and pepper. 
  2. When your oil gets hot drop your fries in and deep fry occasionally stirring for about 8 minutes. Take your fries out with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to soak up the excess grease. Let your fries rest for about 8 minutes. Turn the heat of your pan while you wait.
  3. Reheat your pan of oil with a medium high flame. Drop your fries in to deep fry for a second time for about 8 minutes or until light golden brown. Take your fries out with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to soak up the excess oil. Lightly season with some season all, serve with a side of ketchup and enjoy!
