Indian Khandvi

A super delicious, savory traditional Indian Khandvi, perfect as a snack or appetizer.


  1. Mix together in a bowl some yogurt, chickpea flour, salt, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, garlic powder, onion powder, and some water. Whisk well to a watery smoothie consistency then strain with a mesh into another bowl. 
  2. Heat a nonstick pan on low heat, pour in your yogurt mixture, mix and turn well with a plastic spatula for about 10 minutes and it thickens and reaches a slimy consistency.
  3. Spray some non stick cooking oil on a clean surface. Using your wide plastic putty knife spread a big square thin layer of your khandvi on your surface.
  4. Cut your khandvi into long 3 inch wide rectangles. Peel the rectangles off of your surface like a sticker and roll them up. Plate and set aside.
  5. Heat a small pot on medium high heat and add some oil. Toss in some mustard seeds, sesame seeds, dried curry leaves, and some of your olives and some of the juice. 
  6. Spoon this mixture over khandvi, garnish with chopped coriander, and coconut flakes, and enjoy! #recipesbyvance
