418. Buttermilk Pancake Batter Onion Rings



Super appetizing buttermilk deep fried onion rings.

  • Buttermilk
  • Seasoned Corn Meal
  • Wet Pancake Batter
  • Sliced White Onion
  • Olive Oil

Directions
  1. Grab 3 bowls. In one bowl add buttermilk, in the second add corn meal, in the third bowl add your wet pancake batter.
  2. Slice your onions pretty thick. Heat a pot on medium high heat and add some oil up to 2 inches. 
  3. Soak your rings in your buttermilk for about 3 minutes. Next coat them with your corn meal, the dredge them in your wet pancake batter. 
  4. When your oil is hot deep fry your onion rings for about 5-6 minutes or until golden brown, occasionally gently stirring so they don't stick together. Take them out and place on paper towels to soak up the excess oil, plate and enjoy!
